Fire hydrant fun 6/22/12

So I know I still need to finish up my Hawaii posts but today was a blast. I played with the kids in the fire hydrant. I guess the city opened it up cause some house water was mixed with the weber water, whatever it was made for some awesome memories with my kiddios. We played and played in the water. We called some neighbors to come play and we played and played again. Pure fun and cheap but the memory will be a life time.

Rainbow Falls Hilo, Hawaii

On Sunday April 1st we took the kids and my two nephews to Rainbow Falls. We hiked it and then enjoyed that big Bayin (sp) trees. They grow and grow and vines grow up or down. Kids loved climbing on them.

Hilo Hawaiian

Ohhhh my haven't eaten like that in a long time!! Thanks daddy for an wonderful evening. My whole family went out to eat Hawaiian food buffet. Yep all I could eat of poi, kalua pig, crab, poke, and more. This is a meal I crave weekly but can never have unless I come home.

After dinner was even more awesome. We all went back to my grandparents house in Mt view where we all spent the night. I felt my Papa there. The memories of him were all there. Granny and all of blankets she always had. My heart was fully of joy that night. My family was all together. My sister and her family, my brother Rick and his family and us, even my mom and dad stayed the night. It was awesome and amazingq

Waimea House

So Bret and I have been blessed with this great opportunity to buy my Grandparents home in Waimea. My dad called and asked me if i would want to buy it. He would give me his share and all I would have to do is buy my aunty and uncle out. Well we took it and came to Hawaii to fix up the home to rent it.

My family and I have great memories of this home. Oh did I feel the presence of my grandparents there as well. The minute I walked in I felt like I was making the right choice.

Fixing up was a little more than we thought but we trudged threw it. We didn't get everything done but we got most of it.

We have it rented and hope to have it rented for a while.

We really hope and pray that this is the future for our babies to get to college and so forth. I know not today but in the long run.

The Home was my grandparents first purchase when moving to the Big Island. They loved there while my parents lived on the Ranch before my dad told my grandpa about the dairy that they bought 5 yrs later.
