Happy Birthday to Ty'makoa and Kai'imilani!!!!

Kai'imilani started celebrating her Birthday the weekend before. We all went out to Roosevelt for the weekend, where Abbie and her was treated to a Princess party. They got to dress up, get their nails done, hair done and put make up on (their favorite part). Maryanne and I had a blast watching our little ones. They are getting so big so quickly.

Morning of their Birthday was their first Soccer game. Ty played hard, chased the ball and helped Devin and Kai'imi score goals. Kai'imi played well . She scored two goals and took a lot of hard falls but didn't cry. She was a fast little runner. We were in charge of treats so we brought cup cakes with soccer rings on them. After the game their team sang Happy Birthday to them. They both thought that was the coolest thing ever. Uncle Skyler, Aunty Becky, Eastan, Nick, Lincoln and Aunty Steph came to watch them play. It was so fun to watch them play.

After their soccer game we went to watch Eastan play his game. He is a good little soccer player. Hope he keeps it up.

Then Uncle Skyler and Aunty Becky came over for some lunch. We had pizza and hung out till the evening.

That evening was Kai'imi's Hula Recital. She has been taking hula for the summer. She started in May and went every Thursday. She and her class danced three numbers. We had a pot luck dinner there as well .I brought a cake for Ty and Kai'imi. Everyone there sang Happy Birthday and again the 4 year olds thought that was so cool.

After the Hula Recital we came home and opened presents. They were very blessed and Thank you everyone who made their day so special.

Cool Cars and Cones 09-10-08

Yep, Elvis came to the Cool Cars and Cones!

Bret, the kids and I headed out to Kaysville for their Cool cars and cones fun night. It was a blast. They served free ice cream cones and we walked around and looked at cool cars. Bret bought up the Mustang to be in it as well. Yes he enjoys showing off the car. It was fun to see him so happy and enjoying the car show. It reminded me of growing up with my Dad and how he would always take us with him to car shows.

Ilikea, 3 Months old! 9-30-08

Ilikea is 3 months old!!!

The time has flown by, I can't believe that she is already that old. She is so sweet and we are grateful as a family to have her in our home. Thank you again Heavenly Father for this special gift.

Preschool!!!!

We have decided to do two programs for the kids. They are attending West High School Preschool two days a week and also attending Waterford Ins. Research where they are learning on Computers three days a week. So on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays they go to Computer Class or as Kai'imi says its Puter School and then every other week Monday Wednesday and the other weeks are Tuesday Thursday at West High Preschool or as Sis would say it's Snack School. They started West Preschool on September 2 and Waterford on September 3. They are going to school with Nick their cousin as well. Ms Marj is their teacher for Waterford and Ms Linda is their teacher for West High.
So far they both have really enjoyed going to school. The only challenge we are having is getting Tyty out of bed on some mornings, and Kai'imi keeps asking me why she doesn't have any homework. (we just make homework up)

Kai'imi really loves her teachers. A story from West Preschool teacher Ms. Linda. This one day Kai'imi came into class and ran to the teach and say I have secret Ms Linda for you. So Ms Linda bends down and gives her ear to Kai'imi. She say I just love you so much. You are a great teacher. Ms Linda said that she was just so sweet that day and every day as well. She couldn't believe how excited she was telling Ms Linda her secret.

Tyty is really enjoying it as well. He really likes painting pictures, playing out side on the red bike, and being with Nick.
Computer Classes are going really well as well. They both seem to enjoy it and cause it Puter class that we can play games.

State Fair!

For the last two years we have gone to the State Fair on the opening day for he $2.00 deal. It's always a blast to walk around and see things. We walked around looking at things, sat at the Lion show, and then of course we rode the Yellow Slide. The kids has a blast going down.

Bret gone to Scout Camp 08-21-08

After working most of Thursday, I decided to take the kids fishing at Bountiful pond. Yes, I went and got a fishing licence. Trent also came along with us. So we fished for awhile catching those little fishes. Then I left to take Kai'imi to hula and came back to watch Trent and Ty fish. I picked Kai'imi back up from Hula and went back to fishing. Where Ty caught a big fish and wanted to take it home to save it for his Daddy. Ty really enjoyed the worms as well.
After fishing we got ready to head to the Bees game. Derek got us tickets from his work. We all met up at Derek's and headed to the game.It was all of us except for Bret who was camping and Camie who was back to school night with Shaeda. (we missed them) We sat on the grass by the play ground and the free train rides. We enjoyed the hot dogs, drinks and chips that also came with the game. That was also Philip and Nancy's Anniversary. We had a blast hanging out and watching the game that after that was over we headed to Derek and Stephs for some ice cream. It was a very fun evening but late night. We have always enjoyed the family get togethers.

Playing while Dad's at Scout Camp Wednesday 08-20-08

So after getting Bret off to scout camp at 6:30 am. I stayed up to get some work done so that the afternoon could be full of fun with the kids. So around 1 pm I got the kids in the van and picked up Merilynn and her kids to go to the ZOO. At the Zoo we saw a new baby Columbus Monkey that was only 9 days old. We saw the white Alligator, which that was his last week there before returning home. We saw the baby giraffe who is now three months old or something like that. We also played on the Play Ground area for a while. We also went on the Merry Go round. After the Zoo we went home for dinner. Then headed out to feed the ducks at Bountiful Pond. Well they were ducks they were geese. They were mean geese and tried to eat us. I was scared and made the kids run to the car while I was running as well feeding them. Yes we laughed at our sleves. After the geese we went to this new Yogurt spot in Bountiful called the Yogurt Stop. Its where you pick your frozen yogurt and then you put any kind of topping on it. Then you pay by the pound. The kids and I had a fun day with Merilynn and her boys. We had a day full of memories and a blast.

So we didn't get enough of fishing on Saturday night, so we brought them back on Monday for Family Night and invited the Pages to go with us. This time Bret bought the three kids their own fishing poles. Devin and Ty got speed racer ones and Kai'imi got a Dora one. (Yes thank you Daddy for spoiling us. ) They had a blast fishing. They fished till it got dark. The kids had so much fun fishing and Yep Uncle Trent came along too and got a fishing licence as well. It was a great.

After taking my activities day girl fishing on Wednesday. I told Bret about it and how much fun it was so we decided to take the kids there. We went on Saturday afternoon when Bret got off of work and fished for over 3 hours. We had a Blast! Ty and Kai'imi were catching the little fish left and right. They got to the point that they were casting and reeling in all by their self's.

Ty enjoyed the worms, playing with them cutting up and having them ready for Bret to put on the hook. He also enjoyed throwing the fish back into the water. Kai'imi enjoyed catching them, bringing them in and then letting her daddy take care of the rest. We it was time to leave they were sad.

We have gone here every summer for the past 4 years. It's a wave pool and the ward rents it out from 7pm till 10pm. We had a lot of fun, mainly because of Bret who got stuck in the tube. Ty was not afraid to jump right in, and the waves were definitely his favorite part. When the waves were going he held on to the tube and seemed to be hanging on pretty well. Kai'imi didn't enjoy the tubes but enjoyed hanging on her Daddy in the water. Ilikea and I enjoyed watching everyone and loved that we weren't ever cold. After about an hour and half the kids and Bret got out. It was windy and cold as always, it seems like it been that way for the past 4 years. So they got out and bundled up in their towels and chatted with our ward family. After leaving we went with the Tates to Paces for some fries, and ice cream. Its been our tradition since our ward started going to Surf n' swim. It was a really fun late night!

Yes I finally took my kids to the ZOO! I took the afternoon off of work and headed out of the hot house. I called Stephanie to join us, since Ty and Kai'imi really enjoy playing with there cousins. We had a great day. My favorite was the penguins, Ty's was the black bear and Kai'imi's was the baby giraffe.

Slip, Slide, and Splash

During our summers we enjoy the Water in Backyard! We always get the pool, the slide, the sprinklers, and this year the Slip n' Slide!!! ( Thanks to Aunty Camie).

On this occasion Nick, Eastan, Lincoln, and Devin came over for some lunch and play. I enjoyed watching them play with each other. They played until their little hearts we content. We are truly blessed to have family and friends that like to come over and play.

Baby Stroller

Well since the baby has been born Kai'imi and Ty always wants to hold her and be right there all the time. This sometimes makes Ilikea unhappy. So to solve the problem and make life a little more simpler for me I put Ilikea in Kai'imi's doll stroller and let them take turns pushing her around the house. Yes it totally worked. Ty and Kai'imi was happy cause they were playing with Ilikea, Ilikea was happy cause she was being pushed around in a stroller and I was super happy to get things done finally. Yes we have continued on with pushing her on a daily basis.
